Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy explains the standards that apply when using Buildfund.

By using the platform, you agree not to:

1. Break the law or infringe rights

You must not use the platform to:

  • breach any applicable law or regulation,
  • infringe another person's intellectual property, privacy or confidentiality rights,
  • submit misleading, fraudulent or unlawful information.

2. Upload harmful or prohibited content

You must not upload, transmit or distribute any material that:

  • is false, deceptive or defamatory,
  • is obscene, abusive or threatening,
  • contains malware, spyware, viruses or malicious code,
  • is discriminatory or unlawful,
  • contains personal data that you have no right to share.

3. Interfere with the platform

You must not:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access,
  • probe, scan or test vulnerability without permission,
  • reverse engineer or disrupt the platform,
  • overload, scrape or attack the platform,
  • use bots or automated methods to extract data except as authorised.

4. Misuse communications features

You must not use any inbox, messaging, CRM or outreach functionality to:

  • send spam,
  • harass or mislead recipients,
  • impersonate another person,
  • send unlawful marketing communications,
  • breach confidentiality or data protection law.

5. Consequences of breach

We may suspend, restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached. We may also remove content, preserve evidence and report conduct to relevant authorities where appropriate.

6. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time by posting a revised version on the website.
